Tea on the Lawn

We had a lovely day at Firs Farm with Sheila of "Freedom Flowers" and Jackie of "Vintage Memories", although the weather wasn't kind, we did have spells of glorious sunshine when everybody could enjoy wandering around the garden choosing flowers and seeing the animals. 

The Kniverton WI looked after everybody with scrumptious selection of cakes and refreshment and a rather controversial courgette cake with the title of "Derbyshires alternative to carrot cake" which was a huge hit.

There were edible flowers and salad pots to buy, and locally made terracotta pots.  Vintage Memories had a beautiful display of charming china available to hire and we had our selection of porcelain, and clay tags and decorations with hand made buttons and locally sourced ribbons.

It was a great way to spend a day and meet so many lovely people in such beautiful surroundings. Thanks to everybody that came along and made this such a lovely event.
